Get excited for an afternoon of community connection! Presented by Great Plains Bank, this year's luncheon features Katy Lemieux and Valerie Walizadeh, the founders of Talking Animals Books in Grapevine.

The dynamic duo behind North Texas’ one-and-only independent bookstore, Katy and Valerie saw a need and went into action. From concept to creation in a matter of weeks their vision became to reality after rallying community support and over $50,000 via Kickstarter.

Katy and Valerie will share their story through a conversation entitled, “Getting On The Same Page,” designed to share lessons learned from their quest to strengthen the community through the power of books. 

As you have come to expect, attendees will also enjoy an afternoon of networking, shopping from local businesses and dining on a seated gourmet lunch from the culinary team at Hilton Southlake.  

Sponsorships for the event are now underway for area businesses and details on a charitable raffle will be shared soon.
